The wedding ceremony is the most important part of your wedding day. Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa’s preferred wedding officiants will take great pride in hosting your wedding ceremony. Your hired officiant will assist in coordinating your ceremony details and the paperwork to make your marriage official.
Allow one of our preferred photographers to capture all of your special moments, which will become a lifetime of memories. Picture-perfect locations are available in and around the Monterey Plaza including our Upper Plaza overlooking the beautiful Monterey Bay, and nearby on historic Cannery Row, and other Monterey, Carmel and Big Sur locations.
Whether you’re looking for simple or elegant, our florists can cater to all of your floral needs. The Hotel can also coordinate themed décor and linens to match your floral arrangements so that everything is beautifully and elegantly coordinated.
Linens and Room Décor
The Hotel offers banquet chairs, table linens and skirting for your reception. Upgraded specialty linens or chairs are also available. We can also coordinate room décor such as up-lighting, drapery and table centerpieces.
Your first dance will be a dance you will always remember. If desired, we will work with you to choose one of our recommended musicians and/or professional DJ’s to ensure the wedding reception and party of a lifetime.
If seeking transportation for the bridal party to and from your ceremony site or to pick up guests from another location, one of our preferred transportation companies can assist you with all your transportation needs.
Announcing your engagement is an exciting time! We can host a cocktail party or intimate dinner for your family and friends in one of our private banquet rooms to celebrate the occasion and get ready for the big event.
An afternoon with the girls is always recommended—and fun! We can suggest and coordinate a special brunch or luncheon for you and the girls in one of our exceptional function rooms.
After practicing for the big day, host a dinner for your bridal party in one of our banquet rooms. We can prepare a casual dinner buffet or a simple, but elegant plated dinner for you and your guests.

Host your ceremony and cocktail reception outdoors on our Lower Terrace or Upper Plaza overlooking the majestic Monterey Bay. If you are interested in having your ceremony on a beach or in a place of worship, we can help suggest the right location in Monterey or Carmel.
Dance the night away in one of our beautiful ballrooms. The Hotel can accommodate a wedding reception from 30 to 300 guests. Our ballrooms offer a full ocean view or an intimate feel perfect for a romantic evening.
